Today – Increasing clouds, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Tonight -A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. East southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%

Friday  – A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. East southeast wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Saturday – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Breezy, with a south wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Connect Massac's Goal to Bring Broadband to every home, business and farm in Massac County

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – The Connect Massac Group has formed in Massac County to bridge the digital divide and bring fast, reliable and affordable broadband internet access to every home, business and farm in Massac County. 

Bill Coleman of the Benton Institute for Broadband and Society discussed the initiative.

The group is conducting a brief, confidential survey to better understand the Massac County residents’ current experiences and future needs.  The participation of folks in the county is crucial and will help Connect Massac to develop strategies focused on providing improved broadband infrastructure for Massac County, as well as help improve pushing out public safety information.

Seating Still Available for Massac Memorial Hospital Lunch and Learn on Friday

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Massac Memorial Hospital is excited to announce the grand opening of their brand new Pain Management Center.

Seating is still available for the Massac Memorial Hospital community health lunch and learn on Friday. 

At Friday’s event, APRN Ashley Sledd and members from the PMG will speak on services that will be offered by the Massac Memorial Pain Center.

Massac Memorial Hospital’s Community Health Lunch and Learn will take place from 12-1P on Friday, April 26. It will be held in the classroom at Massac Memorial Hospital. APRN Ashley Sledd and members from PMG will be speaking on what services the Massac Memorial Pain Center will be offering the community! Seating is limited! Massac Memorial will host a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the occasion on Monday.

Join Massac Memorial Hospital next Monday, April 29th at noon at the Massac Memorial Medical Center located at 1204 West 10th St. Ste B, for the ribbon cutting of the Massac Memorial Pain Center! They would love for the public to come and celebrate the opening day, meet their staff, and enjoy some punch and cookies.
