WMOK – Metropolis, IL – The Metropolis Police Department has released the arrest log for the period covering July 26 through August 15, 2026. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

July 26, 2026

Devonda G. LaMoureux, 25, of Calvert City, KY, was arrested at Filmore and E. 12th St. She was charged with DUI and Possession of Methamphetamine.
Terrance C. Moore, 43, of Louisville, KY, was arrested in the 1100 block of Catherine St. and charged with Criminal Damage to Property.

July 28, 2026

Leif A. Scobie, 47, of Metropolis, was arrested at 5th and Girard St. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While License Suspended, and additional traffic offenses.

July 29, 2026

Shunna L. Williams, 38, of Denver, CO, was arrested at 10th and Ferry St. She was charged with DUI, Illegal Transportation of Open Alcohol, and other traffic violations.

July 30, 2026

Howard W. Cessna, 61, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 2000 block of Vista Ln. He was charged with DUI, Driving While License Suspended, and other traffic offenses.
Daisy L. Downen, 45, of Joppa, was arrested in the 1600 block of W. 19th St. and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Joshua R. Goines, 45, of Grand Chain, IL, was arrested in the 1600 block of W. 10th St. Charges include Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

August 1, 2026

Christina L. Svila, 55, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 1900 block of Ferry St. and charged with Domestic Battery.
Jessica J. Avila, 30, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 600 block of Kennedy St. and charged with Domestic Battery.

August 3, 2026

Ralph E. Vance, 57, of Joppa, was arrested at 10th and Ferry St. He was charged with DUI and additional traffic offenses.

August 4, 2026

Kassandra H. Cottrell, 32, of Evansville, IN, was arrested in the 1800 block of Speckman St. She was taken into custody on a Williamson County, IN warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Joshua K. Hunt, 43, of Metropolis, was arrested on Crestview Dr. He was wanted on a Massac County warrant for Failure to Appear (FTA) – Driving with Suspended Registration, and was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Andrea M. Travis, 35, of Metropolis, was arrested on McCrary St. and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Resisting/Obstructing Arrest.
Jonathan T. Troutt, 24, of Joppa, was arrested in an alley in the 1800 block of Helm St. on a Massac County warrant for FTA – Suspended Registration.

August 5, 2026

Colton S. Corn, 35, of Metropolis, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine at the Speedy Mart on 12th St.

August 8, 2026

Danny L. Hertter, 62, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 700 block of E. 9th St. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Suspended, and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He was also wanted on a Massac County warrant for FTA – DUI and Driving While License Suspended.
Luis U. Saavedra, 23, of Paducah, KY, was arrested on I-24 at Mile Marker 38. He was charged with DUI, DUI with a BAC of .08 or Greater, Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash, and other traffic offenses.

August 12, 2026

Amanda G. Cozzie, 38, of Metropolis, was arrested on 8th St. near Scott St. on an outstanding Massac County warrant for FTA – Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Sherident J. Miller, 26, of Paducah, KY, was arrested at E. 15th and Ferry St. on an active Massac County body attachment warrant.
Odaisha M. Short, 32, of Mt. Carmel, IL, was arrested in the 1100 block of E. 8th St. She was wanted on Massac County warrants for FTA – Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Attempting to Smuggle Contraband into a Penal Institution.

August 13, 2026

Frank B. Leonard, 37, of Massac County, was arrested in the 1400 block of E. 5th St. He was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Misti L. Shepherd, 42, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 1400 block of E. 5th St. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken into custody on a Massac County warrant for FTA – Possession of a Controlled Substance.
