Fort Massac Water District Crew Updates: Temple Hill and Round Knob Repairs

WMOK – Massac County, IL –

• Temple Hill Repairs:

  • Crews responded to a broken water main at the intersection of Temple Hill Road and Macedonia Road.

  • Trucks and equipment were on site with traffic control in place as the leak was located directly under the road.

  • Repairs were managed with hopes of avoiding outages or boil orders.

• Round Knob Update:

  • A separate main break occurred in the Round Knob area earlier, affecting customers within a 1-mile radius.

  • Water service has since been fully restored, and crews are currently in the process of flushing the lines.

  • Affected customers in the Round Knob area have been directly notified of a precautionary Boil Water Order running until Tuesday, October 6th at 10:00 AM.
