Metropolis Interstate Gateway TIF 7 Overview: A public hearing is set for 6:30 PM to cover an overview and description of the TIF district, followed by public comment and questions.
City Council Meeting Highlights

Time: Kicks off immediately following the public hearing.

Personnel Updates: The council will look at motions to promote Mason Stewart to Fire Department Captain following the retirement of Captain Clay Childers, promote Acting Sergeant James Garner to Police Sergeant following the retirement of Sergeant Bruce Laird, and hire new entry-level firefighters and police officers.

Local Infrastructure & Bids: Agenda items include bid openings for repaving Ferry Street (from 10th to 11th Street, curb to curb) and various equipment purchases and engineering fee payments for local upgrades.

Redevelopment Agreements: The council will review redevelopment agreements involving Glass House Properties LLC, Howell Real Estate Investments LLC, Metro Financial Group LLC and Caroline Jones, plus property at 415 Market Street with Tony Krueger.
