Community Health Resource Fair and Cancer Walk Set for October 3 at Dorothy Miller Park


(WMOK) – Metropolis Hope Light Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, will host the Free Community Health Resource Fair and Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Dorothy Miller Park in Metropolis, Illinois, located next to Harrah’s Casino. A rain date has been scheduled for October 10.

 

The family-friendly event is open to all ages and features an easy walking path around the park where attendees can connect with regional healthcare and cancer support providers. Activities throughout the afternoon include games, bounce houses, activities, and prizes.

 

Cancer Warriors t-shirts will be available at the event for a donation of $10 or more, while supplies last. All donations directly support cancer programs, services, and local events across Southern Illinois.
