
METROPOLIS, IL — The Metropolis Police Department has released traffic enforcement totals following a month-long safety campaign conducted throughout July aimed at reducing highway fatalities and encouraging drivers to slow down.
The campaign was conducted in partnership with state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois and was funded through federal traffic safety grants administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
