The Creation Of A Safe and Secure Warming Shelter In Massac County is Underway - Contact Massac EMA Dir. Brian Horn and Kaley McGinnis to get involved

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Earlier this month WMOK spoke with Massac EMA Director Brian Horn and Kaley McGinnis of Massac County SNAP Employment & Training Director and part-time Director of Economic Development for the City of Brookport about plans that are unfolding for the creation of a safe and secure warming shelter for those who find themselves in situations like the arctic blast we’ve gone through in Massac County recently.

To express interest in volunteering – please text Kaley and/orĀ  Brian at the numbers below

We suggest including what you would most be interested in assisting with, for example:
assisting in donations of food and or cooking, providing paper goods and the like, assisting with laundry provisions if open for an extended time, et cetera.

We’re working to get the enthusiastic team that is coming to fruition into the studio for our Coffee Break program in early February.

Hear our discussion from Friday, January 19th with Brian Horn and Kayley McGinnis below:
