Fort Massac Water Main Line Break Isolated: Restoration Details & Precautionary Boil Order Info

WMOK – Metropolis, IL – Fort Massac Water District crews have identified and isolated a main line break, restoring water service to the majority of customers following a widespread outage early Tuesday morning.

Water service remains shut off for a specific group of affected customers, with service expected to be fully restored by approximately 1:00 PM today, Tuesday, August 4.

Affected Locations:

  • Highway 145 (between Powers Church and Brad’s Auto Body)

  • Waldo Church Road

  • Deer Run Road

  • Wesley Drive

  • Adam’s Way

  • Old Orchard Road

  • Country Acres Lane

Precautionary Boil Order Details: Customers on the listed roads are under a precautionary boil order for drinking water once service is restored.

  • Duration: In effect through Thursday, August 6, at 10:00 AM.

  • Usage: Applies strictly to drinking water. Bathing, showering, and laundry are not affected.

Fort Massac Water District personnel apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate customer patience as repairs are completed. For questions or concerns, customers can contact the office between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
