Metropolis City Pool Season in Full Swing – End of Summer Bash August 12

The Metropolis City Pool is open through August and as is tradition – the summer will end with the End of Summer Bash on August 12th.  WMOK will have more details on the End of Summer Bash when Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse joins us in studio for Coffee Break on Wednesday July 26.

Planning is in the early stages – and as Chief Masse mentioned when he joined us recently – donations are accepted to the SAFE Fund which assists the Metropolis Police Department in providing outreach events such as this to our Massac County youth.

Daily Admission is $1.50 per person; 5 and under are free with adult admission—Cash only

Swim Passes are available for the price of Individual–$25 and Family–$20 per person living under same roof.

Patrons are reminded that use of tobacco or nicotine products in the Concessions, Pool or Splash Pad areas are prohibited.  Smokers/Vapers (21 or older) MUST be outside of the area at least 15 feet from the entrance

 

  • Swim Lessons – To register, bring your child on the first week of the session on that Monday or Tuesday for their swim assessment along with the $25 fee.
    • 2 sessions (4 weeks each) $25 a session per child
      • 1st sessionàWeek of June 5th thru week of June 26th
      • 2nd sessionàWeek of July 10th thru week of July 31st
    • 2 levels of lessons available
      • BeginneràM, Th or T, F @ 10:30am
      • Intermediateà M, Th or T, F @ 9:30am
    • Minimum age requirement:
      • Must be three years old by first day of swim session
  • Pool Parties
    • Sunday & Saturday nights 5pm-7pm
      • $200 Rental Fee ( $100 due at time of reservation & remaining $100 due at beginning of party time) cash or check only
      • Reservations are to be made in the Mayor’s Office at City Hall
  • First/Last Days of Operation
    • First Day: Monday, May 29th (Memorial Day)
    • Last Day: Saturday, August 12th (Last Day Blast)
