A scheduled pre-trial conference for George E. Bradfield was reset today following a case management conference conducted via Zoom.
The brief hearing included State’s Attorney Stratemeyer, Special Prosecutor Robinson, and defense attorney Cervantez, with Bradfield appearing via video from the Massac County Jail.
During the proceedings, the State filed a Supplemental Motion to Admit Evidence under Illinois Rule 404(b), which governs the admissibility of other crimes, wrongs, or acts. The prosecution indicated it anticipates filing an additional supplemental 404(b) motion within the upcoming week. The defense is currently drafting responses to those motions.
To allow time for the defense to file its responses and for the court to review the supplemental materials, the pre-trial conference has been rescheduled.
The matter is now set to resume on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM via Zoom in courtroom ZM.
