Celebrating Father's Day Together at Washington Park

WMOK – Metropolis, IL – Mark your calendars for a special Father’s Day celebration at Washington Park on Sunday, June 21, 2026! Running from 11 AM to 3 PM, this free community event is the perfect dad and kids day out, while also providing a meaningful space for children without mentors to connect and hang out with local firefighters and law enforcement.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon complete with free food and drinks, including hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pizza, and popsicles. The day features an inflatable obstacle course, sidewalk chalk art, exciting K9 demonstrations, and hands-on tours of fire trucks and police vehicles. Come out to inspire our youth, celebrate strong families, and help build a stronger community together!

We're asking for a little help from our friends. We want to grow our circle, and we're looking to you-our loyal readers and subscribers-to help us spread the word about the WMOK Yellow Sheet. A Little History: What is the Yellow Sheet? For generations, the "Yellow Sheet" has been a staple of breakfast tables ...
