Welcome to Our New Yellow Sheet Subscribers!

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – We are welcoming over twenty new text subscribers today from our presentation this morning at Happy Heart Senior Center! 😍

We discussed both flip and smartphones – Subscribed folks to the WMOK Yellow Sheet via text – Helped our sweethearts find us on Facebook and more…
We had a fantastic time and are SO excited to be helping our *Greatest Generation* learn a new set of skills to help them communicate and keep in touch in today’s world!
Thank you to one of our faithful listeners Glenda for getting a photo of us as we got things started 📸
We hope for this to be an ongoing project of the WMOK

Today Is

National Tell A Joke Day

A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, “Why the long face?”

And there you have it: the classic joke. An innocent setup that leads to a punch line — which in turn, sparks big laughs and lifelong admiration from both friends and family. You hope. (Nobody said comedy was easy.) In our opinion, this day should be celebrated all year long. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a good giggle?  On August 16, celebrate National Tell A Joke Day by doing just that — telling a joke. Hint: You might want to try it out on some good friends first, before making your comedy debut in a roomful of strangers. Practice will help. Remember, timing is everything.

Ok — one more: A lobster walks into a bar. The bartender says, “We don’t serve ‘food’ here.” Get it? Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen. I’m here all week! Good night. Tip your waitresses. Drive safely!

A Note to Teachers and School Administrators in Massac County

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – We look forward to publishing the “Amazon Wish Lists” of area teachers.  This project had to go on our backburner due to the time frame of Massac County Sports Sponsorships and a few other items.

Many of you have sent you links in to you wish lists – we thank you!

If you are a teacher or administrator in Massac Unit #1 or Joppa Maple Grove #38 – please get  in touch with us via text at 618-524-9209.  If you have an Amazon Wish List for your classroom, please send us the link.  In addition to that we want to be in touch directly with teachers and administrators in our county school systems so that we can better provide news an information.

Aside from sending us information regarding your schools and classrooms – you can also send special accolades for your classrooms and schools, along with photos to be included in the WMOK Yellow Sheet.
