WMOK – Metropolis, IL – The City of Metropolis is getting ready to cut the ribbon on a brand-new amenity for local pet lovers. The grand opening celebration for the new dog park at Dorothy Miller Park is officially set for Thursday, October 29th, at 1:00 PM.
During the ceremony, the Egyptian Chapter of the Mid Illinois Realtors Association will present a $7,500 grant to the City to help fund the construction of the project. The public is warmly invited to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate this fantastic addition to our local park system.
“We are excited to officially open another recreational opportunity for our residents and their four-legged friends,” city officials shared. “We are especially grateful to the Egyptian Chapter of the Mid Illinois Realtors Association for their generous contribution and commitment to improving the quality of life in our community.”
