Local Man Arrested for DUI After Failing to Stop at Stop Sign

Metropolis, IL – A late-night traffic stop resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old Trevor A. Reddick from Golconda for driving under the influence (DUI). The incident occurred at the intersection of 10th and Ferry, where a Metropolis Officer observed Reddick’s black Jeep fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected a strong smell of alcohol on Reddick’s breath. Signs of impairment were evident, leading to field sobriety tests, which he failed. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI, DUI with a breath alcohol content of .08 or greater, and disobeying a stop sign.

Following processing, Trevor A. Reddick was released on a notice to appear in court.

The preceding information pertains to an arrest made by the Metropolis Police Department. This arrest was made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
