Tonight Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Light north northeast wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Friday Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 19 by 5pm. North wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Friday Night A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 10. Wind chill values as low as -1. North northeast wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Saturday Snow before 3pm, then snow, possibly mixed with sleet. High near 17. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Saturday Night Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet before 9pm, then snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain between 9pm and midnight, then snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet after midnight. Low around 13. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Sunday Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet before noon, then a chance of snow. High near 20. North northwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

MAJOR WINTER STORM EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE REGION

Snow is expected to begin overnight Friday night, periods of sleet
will mix in over western Kentucky and far southeast Missouri. The
majority of the event is expected to persist at heavy snow through
Sunday afternoon

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. 

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ FRIDAY TO 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ SUNDAY

WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 below expected.

* WHERE...All ofsouthern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
  Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Friday to 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/
  Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could
  result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and
  hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
  temperatures. The winter storm will exacerbate these dangers.
