No drugs were found during the search.

Vienna Lead SRO Carl Manley, who coordinated the effort, shared his appreciation for the outcome and the ongoing commitment to student safety. “We are always pleased when these searches result in nothing being found. It shows that our students are making good choices and that our preventative measures are working. We will continue to do everything that we can to keep drugs out of our school.”

“Our expectation is that Vienna High School remains a drug-free campus, and today’s search reinforces that goal. This is only possible because of the strong partnerships that we have with law enforcement, the proactive systems that we have in place, and the culture our staff and students uphold every day,” said Principal John Giffin.

Superintendent Dr. Joshua W. Stafford said, “Vienna has maintained a clear and consistent message for many years: there is no room for drugs in our schools. Through evidence-based drug prevention programs with Arrowleaf, restorative policies that address student needs, and random drug testing, we continue to build an environment that supports healthy decision-making. Random, unannounced drug dog searches like today’s, further strengthen that commitment.”

Vienna High School will continue its practice of conducting random drug dog searches to help ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
