CTE expansion
1. Added dual credit welding with SCC this year at the high school
a. Kyle Schierbaum, SCC instructor coming to MCHS to teach juniors
and seniors
b. 8 students enrolled in the class thus far
2. The MCHS Auto-Mechanics class received dual credit status from SCC
a. Mike Loven, MCHS instructor, is teaching the course.
3. The Unit 1 Board of Education is in discussion with the Massac County
Commissioners to create a new CTE Center for Massac Unit 1 and Joppa
students as well as adult education and training
a. Early planning stages
