Vienna, IL – On Septmeber 25th at 1:55 PM, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received an emergency 911 call reporting a partial collapse of an unoccupied two-story building located at 124 N 4th St. The Vienna Police Department was among several agencies that responded swiftly to the scene, including the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, Vienna Fire Department, Johnson County Ambulance Service, and Johnson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
In addition to the emergency responders, Vienna Public Works and local officials, including Mayor Steve Penrod and aldermen, were also notified and arrived to assess the situation.

This precautionary measure affects the State Farm Insurance office at 126 N 4th St. and the Cross Creek Antiques apartment at 122 N 4th St., both of which will remain closed until a thorough evaluation of the structures can be conducted.
