WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – When newly elected Metropolis Mayor Gregg Jeffords joined WMOK for his maiden voyage on Coffee Break this week, we had a great discussion about his decision to run for mayor and his vision for our city.
Jeffords’ initial decision to contemplate running for mayor came when his daughter advised that she didn’t know if she wanted to return to her hometown following her college studies, as she didn’t feel that the opportunities here could facilitate her goals.
In today’s portion of WMOK’s Coffee Break with Mayor Jeffords we discussed the act of “getting settled” into the new position and the top priority items going forward.
