(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – When Massac County Unit 1 School Superintendent Jason Hayes joined us for Coffee Break he gave accolades to the Massac Jr High Girls Track on the Regional Girl Championship.
Hayes noted that they are up against larger schools in the competitions and he’s very proud of their accomplishments.
The Massac County High School Band visited Six Flags St. Louis on Saturday, May 5th, to perform at the Six Flags Music Festival in St. Louis.
Hayes said, “They earned an excellent performance grade and took home the highest band score of the festival.”
Hayes noted that it reminded him of his days in the Massac High Band during which Director Art Davis took the band to a music festival in Orlando. He advised the band received first place.
