(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Massac County Sheriff Chad Kaylor joined us for Coffee Break today for his regularly scheduled Coffee Break.
Sheriff Kaylor discussed the 9-1-1 upgrades and updates that have recently been underway at the Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Kaylor also tells us about a small outbreak of thefts in the eastern/northeastern end of the county earlier this month and a locally viral post from last week which resulted in the apprehension of a suspect and charges underway.
We discussed Election Day which is one week from today and a bit about the history of Election Night coverage on WMOK. Kaylor also talked with WMOK regarding his thoughts on retiring.
Sheriff Kaylor gave updates on a dog that showed up near his home on Monday evening which quickly gained interest on Facebook and told us what we found to be a truly funny story about getting a “barn cat” in the house while trying to wrap up the evening.
During our banter portion of the Coffee Break, we discussed our favorite outdoor temperatures, Family Guy and the potential implications of the upcoming Family Guy reboot and more.
On a far more somber note, we discussed the unsolved murder of 26-year-old Lisa Karnes in Massac County in 1984.
