(WMOK) Vienna, IL – The City of Vienna has advised that the Boil Water Order which began on Tuesday at 3pm will continue until further notice.
The Boil Water Order is due to a filter media change project at the water plant. The city does not anticipate any service interruption.
The City of Vienna said that during the change out they will not be able to produce water.
The outage of the filtering system is anticipated to take 18 hours.
They will be supplying customers water from our storage capacity and don’t anticipate any service interruption.
Folks are asked to limit their usage and to avoid watering lawn or gardens or other avoidable usages.
The city wide boil water order will be in place following the work until acceptable samples from the new filters are obtained.
