Metropolis Animal Control Officer John Roman – Status of the Metropolis Pound – (Updated 2.24.23)

Metropolis Animal Control Officer John Roman joined us at WMOK for Coffee Break in February to update on the current status of the Metropolis Pound.

Roman said that there are currently 12 slots at the pound of 20 that are full.

Roman does have dogs available for adoption.

Update:  The week following our Coffee Break, Officer Roman made a post to social media advising that his capacity at the Metropolis Pound was at an urgent level and he needed folks to step up to adopt.

 

WMOK followed up with Officer Roman on Friday morning for an update.  Roman told WMOK that he did make it through the high capacity event without having to euthanize any animals.   As of Friday morning, Roman had ten dogs at the Metropolis Pound.
