Metropolis Christmas Events – Parade and More on Saturday December 3

Make plans to get out and about in Metropolis to get the holiday into full swing on Saturday December 3, 2022

6:30-11:30A the Kiwanis Club of Metropolis will host their annual Pancake Breakfast!

The Pancake Breakfast will take place at the First United Methodist Church, located at 100 E. 5th St. Adults $10, children five and under free with an accompanying adult.

10A-1P, the Metropolis Public Library will hold their Christmas Open House!

Photos with Santa, Holiday Crafts, Cocoa, Tea, Coffee and Treats! This year they will have a “Stockings for Soldiers” stuffing station and Christmas card creation station. For a $5 donation you can help stuff a stocking for our Soldiers and create a special handmade card!

3P The Island of Misfit Toys PARADE

Join the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce for their 74 Annual Christmas Parade here in Metropolis. This years theme is Rudolph: The Island of Misfit Toys!

If you would like to have a float in this years’ parade, stop by the Chamber Monday through Friday from 10A – 4P to fill out a form. You can also call the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce at (618)524-2714.

Social distancing & masking is encouraged.

The parade will begin on lower Ferry Street, come up to make a left turn on 5th street at City National Bank and then turn on to Superman Square for the last leg on Market Street.

4:30P Metropolis Christmas Tree Lighting

Gather at Superman Square at 4:30 on the 3rd for the lighting of the Metropolis Christmas tree
