New Beginnings Antique Angel Tree in Need of Nominations

/ WMOK

WMOK spoke with Kim Abell from New Beginnings with Massac Memorial Hospital earlier in the fall about their Antique Angel Tree program that’s coming up for the holiday season.

They are in need of nominations. The nominations are due by Thursday November 25.  Kim told WMOK that nominees must be: over the age of 65 and either be on a limited income, not have family close, experience difficulty with the holidays, or live alone in Massac County.

If you have a nominee forms are available through New Beginnings.  You may also print out the form included in this article.  The nomination must include the name, address, phone number, gender, and age of the nominee along with their clothing size, preferred snacks, and six gifts wanted. Forms must also include the nominator’s name and phone number.

We also discussed the New Beginning’s Program at Massac Memorial Hospital.  The program assists aging persons deal with depression, anxiety and other issues that stem from declining physical ability, loss of loved ones and isolation.  Their goal is to help patients safely return to their optimal style of living.
