METROPOLIS, IL — A Joppa resident was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Metropolis late last week.
According to an arrest summary released by the Metropolis Police Department, 29-year-old Darrion T. Greer of Joppa was arrested on Friday, July 24, 2026. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West 10th Street and Vienna Street, where Greer was cited for:
Driving while license suspended
Operation of a motor vehicle with suspended registration
Operation of a motor vehicle without insurance
