The Project Hope Humane Society in Metropolis is currently caring for a large number of animals, which has left the shelter facing an urgent shortage of laundry detergent. Local residents can help out this week either by dropping off donations or by stopping by the shelter’s final parking lot yard sale of the season this Friday.
Friday Parking Lot Yard Sale
This will be the shelter’s last yard sale until the fall.

When: Friday, June 5 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Where: Project Hope Parking Lot, 1698 W 10th St, Metropolis

What’s Available: Household items, books, clothing, jewelry, a large selection of pet supplies, and a final remaining stock of irises.
How to Donate Detergent
Project Hope will accept any brand of laundry detergent to help keep up with the shelter’s daily laundry needs.

Drop-off: Donations can be placed on the donation shelf outside the locked door at 705 W 10th St, Metropolis, IL 62960.

Shipping: For those who cannot drop items off in person, donations can be shipped directly to the 10th Street address.
