
WMOK – Metropolis, IL – In a late-night incident at the Sports Park on February 17, a Metropolis police officer made a significant arrest.
At around 11 PM on February 16, officers noticed a vehicle parked at the park, which raised their suspicions. Upon investigation, they discovered the driver, identified as 39-year-old John C. Krempasky of Massac County, asleep behind the wheel.
When awakened, Krempasky attempted to conceal a smoking pipe that was clearly visible on the center console of the vehicle. Further inspection revealed that he was in possession of methamphetamine, leading to immediate charges against him for Possession of Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Krempasky was subsequently taken into custody and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center for booking.
