At the recent request of listeners in Pope and Johnson Counties we have added a Pope County Section and a Johnson County Section to what has been known as the “Massac County Food and Clothing Pantry Listing”

Massac County Food and Clothing Pantries are available to those in need of assistance – We encourage our community members who are able to select a food pantry from the listing and help to keep it stocked

At The River Ministries Monthly Community Meal

On Mondays at 5 PM at the Metropolis Community Center, located on West 10th Street, At the River Ministries offers a free weekly meal for the community. Sponsored by ATR, the program relies on generous donations for the remaining meals, fostering a spirit of togetherness and support. For more information, please call  618-521-7880

COPE Food Pantry
Please bring your ID and proof of Massac County residency.

Clients may pick up food items once a month in Brookport or Metropolis. 
– Metropolis Distribution
– 1013 North Ave., Metropolis – Mon, Wed, and Fridays 9A-3P – (618)524-3635

– Brookport Distribution – 9A- 12P – Christian Church building that is directly behind the Harry Statham gymnasium . Every 3rd Thursday of the month 9A-12P – (618)524-3635

 –Joppa Distribution – 10A-12P – Civic Center next to Joppa City Hall. Every 3rd Saturday a month.  Please bring your photo I.D. and proof of Massac County residency. (618) 524-3635.


At the River Ministries Community Meal- 

-4th Monday of each month at 5P at the Metropolis Community Center, 900 W. 10th St.


Grace Church Food Pantry
102 E. 20th St., Metropolis – (270)933-3466 – Anytime

11A-3P – Grace Church will host a free community meal on the fourth Saturday of each month. Everyone is welcome.

Salt & Light: A Ministry Of New Beginnings Baptist Church Clothing Pantry

718 E 12th Street -2nd & 4th Saturday, 9A – 12P


Joppa United Methodist Church is hosting a free clothing closet twice a week. Offering men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, plus books and toys, the closet is open from 8 a.m. until noon on Mondays and Fridays at the church parsonage, 180 Pope St.
