The holiday was established in 1937 and marks the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas in 1492. The observance of Columbus Day has evolved over time, with the holiday also being recognized as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in some places to honor Native Americans.
Super Cafe and Ms. Lane Sandwich Shop at 106 W 7th Street , Metropolis, IL invites those in need to join them for a nourishing hot meal, featuring baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, sodas, and Gatorade.
They are also providing personal hygiene items to support those in need.
