Vienna, Illinois – The 4-H program is inviting all enthusiastic members to unleash their creativity at the upcoming Pumpkin Painting Night! The event will take place on October 7 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Vienna High School Media Center.
Participants will have the chance to paint their very own pumpkins, with the theme open to interpretation—whether you prefer spooky, silly, or sweet designs. This friendly competition promises to showcase the artistic talent of local youth as they get ready for the fall season.
To keep energy levels up, light refreshments will be provided, including delicious lemonade and cookies for all attendees.

Recreation Time for Needle Crafters – Nifty Needles Meets from 4:30-5:30 on Friday Afternoons at the Metropolis Public Library
This weekly gathering invites residents aged 11 and up to explore their creativity through knitting, sewing, embroidery, and other personal crafting projects.
Participants will convene in the library’s basement every Friday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM to work on their individual projects. This group aims to provide a welcoming space for crafters to focus on their hobbies while enjoying a friendly atmosphere.
The Nifty Needles Group is perfect for both beginners learning a new skill and experienced crafters wanting to refine their techniques or tackle larger projects. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies and share their ideas.
