Annual Vienna Fall Festival Parade Set for October 4th, 2025
Vienna, IL – The Vienna Police Department has announced the details for the annual Fall Festival Parade, scheduled for Saturday, October 4th, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. Residents and visitors should be aware of significant street closures throughout the city as the parade winds through the streets of Vienna, affecting portions of US Route 45 and Illinois Route 146, including the four-way intersection.
In order to maintain safety and organization during the parade, the police department urges the public not to move any barricades or tape set up along the parade route. To accommodate marching bands and participants, there will be no parking allowed on the west, south, and southeast sides of the old courthouse square. Tractors taking part in the parade will turn at the four-way intersection and proceed east to the City Park for the FFA tractor show.
The parade will kick off at the intersection of North 4th and Green Streets, heading to North 6th on Green. It will turn left to cross Illinois Route 146, passing the new Johnson County Courthouse and Administration Building before making another left onto West Main Street. The route will then proceed to the west side of the old courthouse square (5th Street), where it will pass in front of the judges’ stand located near the library. The parade will continue east on Main Street, move to US Route 45, and end at the Vienna High School.
For those planning to travel through Vienna that morning, alternative routes are strongly recommended, as heavy traffic delays are expected during and after the parade until normal traffic flow resumes.
The Vienna Police Department encourages everyone to be patient and take part in the festivities. Come out and enjoy the parade!
Drive-Thru Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Today!
Today, the Vienna community is coming together to combat flu season and the ongoing pandemic with a convenient Drive-Thru Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. The event takes place at Vienna City Park from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so there’s still time for families and individuals to participate.
No appointment is necessary for this drive-thru clinic, making it quick and easy for community members to receive their vaccinations. Both regular and high-dose flu shots, along with the updated COVID-19 vaccine, will be available in a single-dose format.
Participants are reminded to stay in their vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency. Vaccines are generally covered in whole or in part by most insurance providers, so attendees are encouraged to bring their health insurance cards.
Organizers emphasized the importance of wearing clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm for vaccination.
This initiative aims to protect the health of the community, and all families, community members, and staff are encouraged to take part. However, please note that the date and time of the clinic are subject to change without notice.
