Tuesday – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Heat index values as high as 107. Calm wind.
Tuesday Night – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. Calm wind.
Wednesday – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon.

WMOK – Metropolis, IL – We need to apologize for an error in the information we brought you in announcing that the Bulldog pick up for the week had been completed on Friday.
City Alderman Jeremy Holly has advised that he spoke with Mayor Jeffords and Bulldog did have a truck to go down during their final day of City Clean Up Pick Up. Bulldog announced that they are running behind with all of the cleanup week items and they are scheduled to come back to places that were missed beginning today.
Information has been released for the Metropolis All School Reunion.
The Metropolis All School Reunion will take place on Saturday October 4th. They’re planning a casual evening of reminiscing with classmates and friends.
The agenda for the reunion is as follows:
on October 4th
5:00 p.m. check in and social hour
6:30 welcome
7:00 p.m. invocation and meal
7:30 entertainment and door prizes
This will take place at the Robert Cherry Civic Center in Paducah at 2701 Park avenue. The price will be $40 per person for advanced registration and $50 at the door.
Tea, Water and Coffee will be served with the meal and a cash bar will be available.

The Happy Hearts Senior Center: A Place for Ongoing Connection!
The Happy Hearts Senior Center remains a fantastic resource for those seeking to enhance their social wellness at any time of the year. Located at 7th and Pearl Streets in Metropolis, in the former IGA building, the center offers a welcoming environment for connection and community.
Join them for Coffee Time, held every morning at 7 AM. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, play card games, browse the internet, or enjoy a good book in their cozy foyer. Don’t forget to pick up the latest menu to discover all the exciting offerings at Happy Hearts!
For just a $1.00 donation, you can enjoy unlimited coffee.
If you’d like to stay for lunch, a delicious meal is served at 11:30 AM for a suggested $3.00 donation.
The center stays open until 2 PM, allowing ample time to socialize and unwind.
