On May 8, 2025, a Metropolis police officer observed a vehicle weaving in and out of its marked lane while traveling down E. 5th Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Duc L. Vo, 56, of Paducah, displayed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, along with other signs of intoxication. Vo failed the field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). After processing, he was released on a notice to appear in court.
