Massac County Deputy Summer Dixon and IDOT Employee Save Distressed Man on I-24 Overpass
On May 23, 2022 Massac County Deputy Summer Dixon responded to a call on a bridge overpass on Interstate 24. The initial call revealed that an IDOT worker had encountered a man who was having medical complications. After Deputy Dixon arrived on the scene and began to assess the situation the demeanor of the subject changed and Dixon said before they could process what was happening the man attempted to jump over the overpass.
