VIENNA, IL (WMOK) The Vienna Classic Tournament, aka The Turkey Tournament, was back in action last week with the Championship game taking place on Saturday Night.
Since 1999 Vienna has been welcoming schools from the Southern Illinois region into the Eagles Nest for Thanksgiving week basketball.
Vienna High School Principle Joshua Stafford told WMOK that the Vienna Classic concluded on Saturday Night with a door buster crowd!
Carrier Mills, Cobden, Eldorado, Massac County, Meridian, and Vienna schools made for fifteen strong competitions and several narrow victories with many being nail biters to the end.
Massac County went undefeated and won the tournament, Vienna came in second at 3 and 2, with a three-way tie for third place between Cobden, Eldorado, and Meridian.
